For those of you who don't know the history of the Michigan Momper's, it all began in 1992.  Edward Arthur Momper III traveled out to live with his sister Ena, at Selfridge Air National Guard base.  His brother-in-law ran a Bulletin Borad System (B.B.S.) called Thieves World.  B.B.S.'s were an early form of the internet.  Melissa's friend gave her the phone number for the site and of course she had to check it out.  Melissa was still very new to the B.B.S.'s and was having trouble.  Edward was one of the System Operators (Sys-Ops) for the site and intervened to help her.  The rest, as they say, is history.  On August 4, 1995 the Michigan branch of the Momper family began when Edward and Melissa joined their lives in marriage.
